Registration

How do I register for the course?

What are the subsidies available?

To support your learning with Runninghour, you may be eligible for up to 50% funding if you are a Singaporean / Permanent Resident (PR) and up to 75% funding if you are a Singaporean aged 40 years and above under the SkillsFuture Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy (MCES).

You may also be eligible to utilise SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to offset your course fees.

Absentee Payroll is also applicable to company-sponsored learners.

What if I do not meet the entry requirement for English Language proficiency?

If you do not meet the requirements for English Language proficiencies as required by the programme that you are applying for, you are advised to take the Workplace Literacy (WPL) – Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) and secure the ES WSQ WPL qualification for listening, speaking, reading and writing modalities. Please click here for more information.

You may also provide other documented evidence of your proficiency in English and / or be required to attend an interview with Runninghour to ascertain your suitability for the programme.

What is the deadline for Registration?

3 days before the start of the e-learning component.
e.g: 
Face-2-Face Session: 26 Aug (Fri)
E-Learning Session: 5-25 Aug (3 weeks)
Registration Due Date: 2 Aug (3 days before 2-learning starts)

Course

What will you learn from this course?

You will learn to be a confident advocate who can support Persons with Disabilities in community integration or in your course of work. We will cover physical, sensory, intellectual disabilities. Autism is also one of the modules.

Who should attend?

Professionals who need to interact or work with persons with disabilities at their home, in the community or at the workplace. It may include care support staff, social service staff and volunteers. For example, professionals such as Social Service or Disability Care/Support workers. Helpers and volunteers of care and social services organisations.

The course will be suitable for people who may encounter PwDs in their work or community activities and need to ensure the safety of people with disabilities when required to interact and accompany them in the course of their work.

What are the qualifications required to sign up for the course?

Completed formal education of at least PSLE standard or equivalent.

What is the duration of the course?

Total course duration would be 1.5 days or 10 hours.

What is the course fees before funding?

$350 (*GST exempted)

Self-Sponsored

If you intend to use your SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to offset the course fees, please submit your claim via the SkillsFuture Portal here.

Company-Sponsored

Organisations sponsoring their employees will be invoiced at the end of the registration process.

Can I use my SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to offset the course fees?

Only self-sponsored applicants can use their SFC to offset the course fees of SFC-eligible courses offered by Runninghour.

Please note that the $500 Additional SFC (Mid-Career Support) available from 1 October 2020 is not be applicable for the Runninghour course as our course currently does not fall under the ‘Career Transition Programmes’ category.

How can I claim my SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) to offset the course fees?

Please refer to the step-by-step guide below (will insert pdf guide).

Please note the submission period for your SFC claim via MySkillsFuture needs to be within 60 days before the course start date (date inclusive).

If you’re making partial course fee payment (SFC + cash), please pay the balance at the payment page or else your SFC application will be voided.

How can I obtain the invoice/receipt?

Invoice will be generated for all registrations. However, it will only be emailed to individual registrations or the company representative for corporate group registrations.

Payment receipt will be emailed to the paying party upon successful registration.

What is the funding validity period?

Till 2024

Enrolment

Is there an attendance requirement for Runninghour WSQ courses?

You will need to meet the minimum attendance requirement of 75% for every class run.
Runninghour strongly encourages full attendance for all classes unless there are unforeseen circumstances, e.g. due to medical reasons where documentary proof can be provided.

Note: You must be available for the assessments scheduled during the course as well.

I can’t meet the 75% attendance requirement; can I take the course on another date?

Yes, you may choose another date which best suits your availability. Please refer to the course run dates which will be published on our website and MySkillsFuture periodically.

Is there a replacement lesson when I miss a session?

There will be no replacement or make-up lesson for participants who have missed a session during a class run. You will need to re-register for another class if you are unable to meet the attendance requirements.

Am I eligible for funding if I register for the second time after failing to meet the passing criteria?

No, all trainees are eligible for funding for one time only.

Assessment

When will the assessments be conducted?

All assessments will be conducted within the duration of each class runs.

Am I still eligible for funding if I retake the course?

No, you would not be eligible for funding in the event you have to retake the course as funding is only applicable for your first enrolment.

Post-Training Administration

When and how will I receive my certificate?

Upon completion of the required assessment(s) for the Statement of Attainment (SOA), you will be able to download the electronic certificates
(e-Certs) from MySkillsFuture portal at www.myskillsfuture.sg after 4 to 6 weeks.

You can find the e-Certs in the ‘Certificates’ tab under the Skills Passport.
Please note that e-Certs are only generated for learners who have completed their programme on or after 01 July 2014.
